SPEED ROGUE

Speed Rogue is a fast-paced driving platformer with a lot of emphasis on flowing movement, exploration and game feel.

The evil government of the city-state of Neo-Madrid is developing the prototype of a new super-weapon that needs to be destroyed before it's too late. To open the door to the secret research facility where it's hidden you need to find and destroy three energy cells around the city, each one located in one of the three areas of the interconnected world of the game.

This demo includes the first one of those areas.

Tips

It's recommended to play with a controller.

Use the pause menu to change the speed of the camera and the damage you take.

About the project

This project is now cancelled. I started to develop this project early in my game dev journey. I over-scoped it, restarted it a couple of times, paused it to study or to work on other smaller games; and at some point, my job left me without much time to work on a big personal project like this one.

I have had this project on my computer and the back of my mind for many years. I still think it's pretty cool, but there are so many other things I want to do and in the time since then I have grown so much as a developer that for the project to be up to my new skills and standards I will need to restart the project again from the ground up.

I am releasing this demo/prototype with the content I had developed so this big little part of my journey does not die on a hard drive. Enjoy it!
